A number of measures have been introduced by both the UK and the Scottish Governments to mitigate the worst impacts of the Coronavirus on companies and organisations. Details relating to each of the funds have been emerging over the past week. Please see below for updated information on each
The Scottish Government have set up the Third Sector Resilience Fund, a £20 million fund to help ensure the health and continued viability of third sector organisations affected by cash flow and other problems. This fund opened to applications on 25th March 2020.
Supporting Communities Fund (SCF)
The Scottish Government also announced a £40 million to support the rapidly growing community efforts to respond to the Coronavirus at a local level. A large part of this fund will be distributed through community anchor organisations (MCDC for Morvern). HIE are co-ordinating the SCF in our area and MCDC’s development officer is managing this on behalf of the community.
