What have we done?

Phase 3 of the development, the upgrade of the path to enable easier access to the village was completed in February 2014.

Shore Facilities

Phase 2 (Shore facilities) at Cala Loch Àlainn, Lochaline Harbour development was completed and officially opened in July 2013.

Morvern Community Development Company built the allotments scheme on land belonging to the Ardtornish Estate between Caol Muile and High Street.

Lochaline has always had a large volume of visiting yachts but unfortunately with most of the good anchorages being located away from the village and its facilities it was difficult for visitors to

MCDC purchased these woodlands for the community in 2003, from the Forestry Commission with a grant from the Scottish Community Land Fund.

The idea of a peninsula wide conservation project on Morvern has been talked about for some time by a number of different external and internal groups.
