Morvern Photography Competition

Picture This!

MCDC is launching a Morvern photography competition! Winning entries will be featured in a charity calendar for 2026 intended to highlight our beautiful peninsula including the community, the views, and the flora and fauna.  Whether you’re an established and experienced photographer, or you’re just starting out, we hope you’ll get involved. 

Do you have fabulous pictures already? Are you out and about in Morvern with your camera looking for the perfect shot? Whether you’re a visitor or a local, you can enter our competition to have your photograph included in the calendar. Judges to be announced soon!

You can enter up to three images in total and, as well as telling us where they were taken, you should say which categories you are entering your photographs for. Please note that all photographs must be taken in Morvern.

1. Wildlife
2. Lochs and Sounds
3. Beautiful Morvern
4. Community Spirit
5. Photos taken by under 18s
6. Photos taken by under 12s

Although we will choose 12 images for the calendar, others will be shown over time via social media and in newsletters (and all photographs will, of course, be credited), so please let us know if you do not wish us to use your photographs in this way. 

The profits from the calendars will be shared with CAOLAS to help support their Conservation projects.

Whether you have snapped a picture of a lone gull coursing through the sky above Loch Aline, a sailing boat across the sound or a fascinating shell you found on the shore, please submit your pictures to the Lochs and Sounds category for a chance to be featured in the Morvern 2026 calendar. CAOLAS will gratefully be receiving some profits from the calendar, which will support our efforts to survey and restore the incredible coastal habitats of Morvern."

Please e-mail your entries to [email protected] by Friday 30th May. Your photograph can be taken on any device, including phones and drones, but should be sent unedited in Jpeg format.
