Phase 2 Housing

MCDC is currently working on a second housing project - building two and three bedroom homes in the village of Lochaline. MCDC previously built three one-bedroom homes (Miner's Court) and welcomed our first tenants back in 2021. However, there is increasing demand for two and three bedroom homes as well and more affordable housing came out as one of the top priorities for the local community in the recent Live Life Morvern community action plan. Once built, these houses will remain in community ownership but they will all be available for affordable rent in line with rates set by Highland Council (which are currently £113.90 per week for a two-bed and £125.14 per week for a three-bed) and will also be affordable to run.

We are now looking for expressions of interest from both individuals and businesses to be on our candidate information list for when we are ready to advertise for tenants. Please fill in and return the downloadable form below if you would like to be on the list to be contacted with our application pack (likely in autumn 2026). If you are an employer, please fill in one form per house required. 

Please note that at this stage this is just an expression of interest and there is no commitment from either side regarding tenure. We may contact you again if we need any further information, but we will not use your data for anything else.
